K-Pop Dance Cover Contest – Rules

  • Participants must perform to music by K-pop artists.
  • Both solo performers and groups may participate (there is no limit on group size).
  • Participants under 18 are allowed but must provide written consent from a legal guardian.
  • The maximum music length is 6 minutes (including intro and outro).
  • The contest is limited to 15 soloists/groups. If this number is exceeded, additional applicants will be placed on a waiting list (you will be notified after registration closes).
  • The entire performance must fit within a stage size of 8×5 meters.
  • Costumes must not include any prohibited items, such as weapons (or replicas) or materials like paint, glitter, etc., that could damage the stage.
  • Costumes must not be offensive or include hateful symbols.
  • Choreography must be appropriate for youth audiences; inappropriate or shocking elements are not allowed.
  • Participants will have the opportunity to test the stage during rehearsal. Rehearsal details will be announced later.
  • Participants can submit a video or image to be used as background on the LED wall behind them during the performance (size: 11×4 meters, resolution: 2880×1024). Files must be submitted before the registration deadline to the email address listed in the registration form.
  • Participants may include lighting preferences (colors, intensity, etc.) in the registration form notes, or discuss them on-site during rehearsal.
  • Registration is open from June 16 to July 21, 2025 (midnight).

Evaluation Criteria

  • Music length must not exceed 6 minutes, including intro and outro.
  • Original choreography must be respected:
  • No mashups/remixes of multiple songs.
  • No original choreography or freestyle elements.
  • If there are multiple official choreography versions, one must be selected and submitted.
  • Costumes will be evaluated for consistency with the general concept of the song (exact replicas from original performances are also acceptable).
  • The jury will evaluate:
  • Synchronization
  • Step accuracy
  • Facial expressions
  • Lipsync
  • Overall impression
